Baseball: York, Willowbrook, Glenbard South win

York 5, Niles North 4:

The Dukes (23-10) trailed 4-2 heading to the bottom of the seventh but wound up winning on Joey Yaeger's bases-loaded walk. Mike Bernal and Ryan Ross each homered. Jake Hadawi won on the mound in relief of Charlie Pakenas. York plays Maine West in Saturday's Class 4A Niles North regional final.

Willowbrook 6, Batavia 0:

Alec Michaelson homered and threw a 1-hitter over 6.2 innings as the Warriors (24-8) won in the Class 4A Hoffman Estates regional semifinals. M.J. Ranieri, Mason Kamp, Mike Dembowski and Trevor Jaloszynski drove in runs for Willowbrook, which faces Lake Park in Saturday's title game.

Glenbard South 19, Instituto Health Sciences 0:

Dan Opem pitched a 4-inning perfect game, striking out seven to lead the Raiders (12-20) into the Class 3A St. Patrick regional title game. Glenbard South will face the host Shamrocks on Saturday. Robbie McGimpsey had 2 hits and 4 RBI for the Raiders.

Geneva 7, Addison Trail 1:

The Blazers (13-17) fell in the Class 4A Addison Trail regional semifinals after managing a lone hit by Michael Scali. Ricky Perez drove in the Blazers' sixth-inning run with a sacrifice fly. Geneva broke open the game with a 4-run fourth inning.

Minooka 12, Downers South 1:

Minooka burst to a 7-0 third-inning lead in its five-inning victory over the Mustangs (23-12) in the Class 4A Neuqua Valley regional semifinals. Michael Greco singled in Michael Hoes in the fourth inning. Minooka faces Neuqua Valley in Saturday's regional final.
