The Trojans (19-10) cruised into the Class 2A IC Catholic Prep sectional title game with a five-inning victory. Noah Marrera, Joey Davidson and Connor Gwaltney drove in 2 runs apiece. Winning pitcher Brian Schiff allowed 1 hit in 4 innings.

Lake Park 4, Glenbard East 3:

Three runs in the top of the fifth inning rallied the Lancers (16-17) to victory in the Class 4A Hoffman Estates regional semifinals. Paul Beverly homered and Zach Aehlert and Sean Cummins had 2 hits apiece. Ian Renger drove in 2 runs. Four pitchers combined on the mound.

Benet 16, Noble/Golder 0:

The Redwings (22-11) followed a 9-run first inning with a 6-run second to advance to the Class 3A Benet regional final. Quinn Moriarty pitched a 4-inning perfect game. Collin Berry went 2-for-2 with 3 RBI while Marty Dosen drove in 2 runs.

Montini 19, Westinghouse 1:

The Broncos (18-15) rolled to a four-inning victory in the Class 3A Montini regional semifinals after scoring 11 runs in the first inning. Nick Malik homered and drove in 5 runs. Alex Luka, Alex Weisshaar and J.R. Walsh each had 2 RBI. Ben Steiner and Bobby Meifert combined on the mound.

Holy Trinity 2, IC Catholic Prep 0:

A run in the third inning and another in the seventh ended the season for the Knights (14-20) in the Class 2A IC Catholic Prep sectional semifinals. Brendan Russ, who struck out eight in a complete game, went 2-for-3.

Burlington Central 7, Wheaton Academy 3:

A late rally fell short for the Warriors (8-15) in the Class 3A Burlington Central regional semifinals. Mike Cortez and Jimmy Paganis each had 3 hits.

Plainfield South 7, Downers North 0:

Adam Bandola, Nolan Young and Sam Cogger accounted for the lone hits for the Trojans (18-16) in their loss in the Class 4A Plainfield South regional semifinals.
