Softball: Stout blasts 2 homers in St. Charles East's win

Rylee Stout smashed 2 more home runs, giving her 15 this year, in St. Charles East's 18-2 win over Streamwood on Thursday.

Stout finished 4-for-4 with 5 RBI for the Saints (24-5, 12-3). Maddie Candre also had a home run and went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI. Delaney Devor, Jordan Hieber, Maddy Stout and Sarah Kreiner all had 2 hits.

St. Charles North 15, East Aurora 0: Maddie Webb tossed a 1-hit shutout for the North Stars (12-7), striking out six and walking none. Webb, Ashlyn Jozefowicz and Samantha Vaca all had 3 hits, and Vaca and Aislen Kelly both drove in 3 runs. Jordyn Wolfe, Jozefowicz and Grace Quinn had 2 RBI.

Huntley 9, Crystal Lake South 2: Tiffany Giese improved to 21-4, striking out five and allowing 3 hits. She also went 3-for-4 with 3 runs. Sofia Tenuta, Caitlin Brown and Kendra Mitchell all had 2 hits for Huntley (22-5, 13-1). Skylar Olsen and Maddie Bush had RBI for the Gators (14-12).

Batavia 13, Larkin 2: Alena Theis earned the win for Batavia while Toni Galas (4-4, 4 runs, 2 RBI), Rachael Lovestrand (4-4, 3 runs, 4 RBI), Kaylan Waldron (3-3, 3 RBI) and Allison Bahlmann (2-3, 2 RBI) all had big games at the plate. Galas and Bahlmann both had home runs; Haley Bohne homered for Larkin and had 2 RBI.

Hampshire 8, Cary-Grove 5: Gwen Malecke had a home run, Delaney Rummell went 1-for-4 with 3 RBI, and Peyton De Chant, Melissa Esparza and Sarah Bowen all had 2 hits for the Whip-Purs. Jill Deering homered and drove in 3 runs for Cary-Grove (6-16).

Rosary 12, Queen of Peace 2: Sarah Willman (3-4, 2 runs), Xandria Olsen (2-5, 2 runs), Krystal Cortes (1-2, TR, 2 RBI), Chloe Saltijeral (2-4, RBI), Mikayla Cassidy (1-4, 2 RBI), Kaleigh Lentz (2-4, 2 runs) and Anna VanGundy (1-3, RBI) were among the hitting stars for Rosary (19-7).

Aurora Central 8, Wheaton Academy 7: Jessica Eallonardo (2-4, 2 runs), Danielle Brown (1-2, 2 runs, 2 RBI) and Isabell Gonzalez (2-4, 2 RBI) all had big games for the Chargers, who improved to 9-11.
