Girls soccer: Prospect produces on senior night

Prospect's girls soccer team but its best foot forward on the same night the program was honoring its seniors.

The Knights claimed a 4-2 victory over visiting Schaumburg in Mid-Suburban League soccer Thursday.

Prospect led 3-1 after the first half.

Ashley Welk, Jalyn Mosley, Sarah Mulivihill and Tina Suto each had goals for the Knights. The assists came from Aly Kobler, Grace Johannesen, Mosley and Kristin Scheider, and senior Meredith Nyborg was in goal for Prospect.

Schaumburg's scores were supplied by Michelle Candotti and Allison Schaar.

• Conant and Evanston played to a scoreless draw in Naperville Invitational action played at Fremd as Taylor Cyr earned a shutout for the Cougars.
