Boys volleyball: Nonconference wins for Mundelein, Libertyville

Boys volleyball

Mundelein d. Highland Park: Linden Ewing rolled up 17 kills to lead Mundelein to a 25-15, 20-25, 25-19 win in nonconference boys volleyball action Monday.

Ewing also had 13 digs, as did Ben Arebalo.

Setter Steven Miritello finished with 22 assists.

Libertyville d. Deerfield: Libertyville improved to 11-1 with a 25-13, 25-23 sweep of Deerfield.

Jack Stevens led Libertyville with 12 kills, 4 blocks and 2 digs.

Brendan Cook added 8 kills and 1 block.

Setter Ryan Hirschel finished with 19 assists and Sam Kharasch had 12 digs.

Hersey d. Stevenson: Stevenson fell short in a marathon match against Hersey, 26-24, 35-33.

Grant Maleski had 17 kills and 2 blocks for Stevenson.

Setters Haddon Kay and Will Sorenson had 17 and 15 assists respectively.
