Harvest in the Park

Bring produce donations, gardening questions, and even pesky bugs to identify. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Friendship Park Conservatory at 395 Algonquin Road, Des Plaines. Drop off produce at main entrance.

10 a.m.-4 p.m. Hands-on booths on soil basics, kids in the garden, plant and seed suggestions, harvesting and food storage, bug identification and pest and disease management

Noon Presentation on plant seed suggestions

1 p.m. Presentation on kids in the garden

3 p.m. Presentation on soil basics
