  • Greater Chicago Food Depository - This not-for-profit distribution center provides food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in Cook County, where it distributes donated and purchased food through a network of 600 pantries, soup kitchens and shelters. Last year, the Food Depository distributed more than 42 million pounds of non-perishable food and fresh produce, dairy products, meat, poultry and fish, which is the equivalent of more than 87,100 meals every day.
