Stacy St. Clair joined the Daily Herald as a staff writer in 1995. Her reporting and writing has been honored by the Illinois Associated Press Editors Association, the Chicago Headline Club, the Northern Illinois Newspaper Association and the Chicago Press Veterans Association. She was among a team of Daily Herald journalists who won an award for "44 Minutes in January," an in-depth examination of the Palatine Brown's Chicken murders. Bev Horne Horne became a staff photographer for the Daily Herald in 1990. Prior to that, she worked as a freelance photographer for the paper for a year. She has won several awards from the Illinois Press Photographer Association and the Associated Press. Eric Peterson earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Illinois in Champaign in 1991. He previously worked at the Chicago Suburban Times, the Northwest Herald and Pioneer Press before joining the Daily Herald in 2000.
