    Bears bench Cutler vs. Lions

    By his own admission, Bears coach Marc Trestman joins a long list of coaches who have failed to get optimum production out of quarterback Jay Cutler, who was benched on Wednesday in favor of Jimmy Clausen, who hasn't started a game in nearly four years.

    On Thursday, Carmelo Anthony makes his first visit to the United Center since rejecting the Bulls' summer free-agent offer. The timing works out well for the Bulls, because with Pau Gasol playing well, Jimmy Butler averaging 20 points and the Knicks sitting with a 5-22 record -- it's easy to conclude the Bulls' summer moves worked out for the best.
