Derrick Rose's comments about not wanting to limp into his son's graduation years from now created a stir. But it really has nothing to do with the present state of the Bulls. Rose needed time to recover from two sprained ankles and played well when he returned Monday against Detroit.

Allen empathizes with former teammate Peterson

Bears defensive end Jared Allen played with Adrian Peterson for six years on the Vikings. “The Adrian I know was always a kind-hearted, gentle, very generous human being. Bears defensive end Jared Allen played with Adrian Peterson for six years on the Minnesota Vikings, and he hopes that the perennial Pro Bowl running back is reinstated after being suspended for disciplining his 4-year-old son with a switch. No changes for Bears’ defense

Bears defensive coordinator Mel Tucker said “there are a few things that need to get corrected.”

    Nov 12, 2014 9:22 PM

In allowing back-to-back opponents more than 50 points, the Bears' defense has marked its place in history as one of the worst units in NFL history, putting coordinator Mel Tucker on the hot seat. But, after allowing 42 first-half points to the Packers last week, the Bears are planning to start the same lineup on defense, according to Tucker.
