Wendy M. Kimura was last seen walking around Route 14 on May 21, 1999, and she has not been heard from since. The 28-year-old at the time had taken a train to Fox River Grove to spend the night with a friend who lived in the 200 block of Northwest Highway in Cary. Under the proposal, the fire district would lease 18 firefighters from the village of Barrington for two years.
