Picnic and motorcyle run to benefit PADS of Elgin

Rev your engine on Thursday, July 28, as PADS of Elgin celebrates the fourth anniversary of the Douglas L. Hoeft Resource Center, with "The Ride for PADS."

The festivities will include a picnic and motorcycle run, sponsored by Fox River Harley Davidson and Alley64 in St Charles.

There will also be drawings for a variety of door prizes including motorcycle gear and a 50/50 raffle with a pot that has been building. Attendees may choose to participate in only the picnic for $10, or participate in the ride and drawings for $25.

The event will be from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fox River Harley Davidson, 131 S. Randall Road in St. Charles. Participants may visit www.padsofelgin.org/news_events to download a registration form, or register in person the day of the event at 5:30 p.m.

PADS of Elgin, Inc. is a nonprofit, community-based organization which provides emergency, overnight shelter to homeless men, women and children within Elgin, Dundee and Hanover townships. PADS is a catalyst in fostering community and social service agency partnerships, which effectively and efficiently provide coordinated services for short- and intermediate-term customized care, targeting client growth, development and self-sufficiency.
