Construction dust soon will be flying at Hadley Junior High School in Glen Ellyn. After years of trying to alleviate crowding concerns at the school, 240 Hawthorne Blvd. - efforts that included a failed referendum proposal - Glen Ellyn District 41 officials have given the go-ahead for a much smaller expansion project made possible by federal stimulus money.

Lunch service resumed in February at Spartan Terrace, the upscale restaurant operated by students of the Culinary Arts and Hospitality program at Elgin Community College. The restaurant opened for the spring semester on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

Bensenville Public Library has selected Elizabeth Berg's "We Are All Welcome Here" for its fifth annual Bensenville Reads program. Each year the library selects a book to promote reading in the community and invites the selected author to appear with support from the Bensenville Arts Council.
