Prospect Heights parks board seeks new commissioner

The Prospect Heights Park District has a vacancy on its board of commissioners due to Vicki Carney's relocating to Florida after nearly 18 years of service.

"She has been a tremendous asset to the park district by sharing her professional experience and knowledge in finance," Executive Director Christine Ferraro said. "She will be greatly missed,"

"The Prospect Heights Park District board and staff would like to extend much gratitude to Commissioner Vicki Carney for her hard work, energy, and dedication to the residents of Prospect Heights Park District. We wish her all the best," added park board President Tim Jones.

The person appointed will serve the remainder of Carney's four-year term, which expires in April 2023. Those interested must be a resident of the park district for at least one year and a registered voter.

Interested residents can submit their resume and a letter of interest via email to commissioner@phparks.org no later than Feb. 19. The board will interview applicants in the spring and may make an appointment in the summer. For more information, visit phparks.org or call (847) 394-2848.
