2nd victim in Burlington Township crash dies

A second person has died as a result of a crash Thursday morning in Burlington Township.

The Kane County sheriff's office announced Friday that Michael Crowley, 54, of DeKalb, died Thursday.

Crowley was a passenger in a Ford Transit van that was struck by a car traveling in the wrong lane on Plank Road near Lawrence Road.

The driver of that car, 27-year-old Rachel Vasquez of Hampshire, also died Thursday. She was driving west, and authorities believe blowing and drifting snow may have caused her to veer into oncoming traffic.

Snow may be to blame for fatal crash, Kane sheriff says
