Chicago man charged in Addison gas station robbery

A Chicago man was charged Thursday with robbing an Addison gas station at gunpoint in January.

Bail for Queshane Jefferson, 22, whose last known address is on the 200 block of North Pine, was set at $500,000, and he must post 10% to be released pending trial, according to a news release from the DuPage County state's attorney's office.

Authorities said Jefferson and another man stole a vehicle in Chicago and arrived at the Gas Depot on Lake Street the morning of Jan. 31. Jefferson pointed a semi-automatic pistol and forced the clerk to open the cash register, according to the news release. The two men took about $800 from the register and also stole $3,000 in cigarettes, authorities said.
