COVID-19: 46 new cases in Glenview, Northbrook

Forty-six new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the past week in Glenview and Northbrook, but there were no new deaths, Cook County public health and medical examiner's offices reported.

There were 21 new cases in Glenview and 25 in Northbrook from Sept. 9 through Tuesday.

In Glenview, 915 people have tested positive and 51 people have died since the pandemic began. In Northbrook, 539 have tested positive and 42 have died.

In the previous week, Sept. 2-8, Glenview cases increased by 44 and Northbrook cases increased by 12, with no deaths reported.

Suburban Cook County had 60,096 cases and 2,218 deaths as of Tuesday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In Chicago there were 75,594 cases and 2,919 fatalities.

Suburban Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will counties had recorded 121,613 COVID-19 cases, 46% of the state's total, and 4,053 deaths, 48.6% of the state's total, as of Tuesday.

Illinois had 264,210 cases, including 8,332 deaths.
