Police release images of Prospect Heights armed robbery suspects

Prospect Heights police on Monday released surveillance images of two men sought in connection with the robbery and shooting of a 7-Eleven clerk late last month.

Police said the men entered the store at Wolf and Camp McDonald roads at about 2:30 a.m. Aug. 31 wearing masks and hoodies. A struggle ensued, and the clerk was shot twice before the men fled, police said.

The clerk's injuries were not life-threatening, according to police.

One of the men was last seen wearing black hooded sweatshirt, red gloves, a black mask and blue jeans. The second suspect was wearing a black Adidas sweatshirt, gray hood, blue bandanna mask, and black sweatpants.

Anyone with information on the identities of the men should call the Prospect Heights Police Department at (847) 398-5511, ext. 151. Anonymous calls are welcome, police said.
