32 new COVID-19 cases in Glenview and Northbrook in past week; no new deaths

Thirty-two new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the past week in Glenview and Northbrook, but there were no new deaths, Cook County public health and medical examiner's offices reported.

There were 19 new cases in Glenview and 13 in Northbrook from July 1 through Tuesday.

In Glenview, 568 people have tested positive and 48 people have died since the pandemic began. In Northbrook, 362 have tested positive and 39 have died.

In the previous week, June 24-30, Glenview cases increased by 16 and Northbrook cases increased by 10, and there were no new deaths.

Suburban Cook County had 39,233 cases and 2,006 deaths as of Tuesday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. In Chicago there were 53,820 cases and 2,645 fatalities.

Suburban Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will counties had recorded 75,710 COVID-19 cases and 3,604 deaths as of Tuesday, about 51% of the state's total numbers.

Illinois had 148,452 cases, including 7,063 deaths.
