Aurora cancels Friday night curfew

Aurora officials say they have canceled the curfew that was scheduled to take effect at 10 p.m. today.

Officials said they made the decision after reviewing conditions in Aurora and surrounding communities.

The city will continue to monitor the area and make an announcement Saturday afternoon regarding that day's scheduled curfew hours.

Travel restrictions also have been removed from downtown Aurora, although traffic modifications will remain in place at Fox Valley Mall during the overnight hours.
