Mundelein blood drive Feb. 18 honors local teacher

Mundelein Elementary District 75 will host a community blood drive from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the district office, 470 N. Lake St., Mundelein.

The blood drive is held to honor kindergarten teacher Kristen Meister, who was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in August 2018. After three months of treatment, she returned to work in January 2019.

Call Laura at (847) 949-2700, ext. 2002 or visit www.versiti.org to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome to schedule an open time slot on the day of the blood drive. All attempting donors will receive a $10 Colonial Cafe gift certificate.
