Palatine Business Expo & Community Showcase set for Saturday
The 4th annual Business Expo & Community Showcase sponsored by the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce is set to take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Falcon Park Recreation Center, 2195 N. Hicks Road in Palatine.
In addition to more than 50 vendors offering specials and giveaways, entertainment will be provided throughout the free event. It will include an interactive light saber activity and demonstration by JP Wood Martial Arts, performances by the Palatine Park District Dance Company and the Allegro Community Chorus, and a Palatine Police K9 demonstration, among others.
A brief ceremony honoring veterans will be led by the Palatine American Legion Post 690 Color Guard at 10:30 a.m. All veterans are invited to attend and be recognized for their service.
Activities for children will include balloons by the Great Sobotka, face painting by Kayli Roe, a golf putting activity, arts and crafts with Ecole 360 Child Development Center, and a chocolate craft provided by Morkes Chocolates.
