Wauconda's Bangs Lake remains a no-wake zone

Boaters on Wauconda's Bangs Lake must continue keeping speeds low and avoid creating wakes because of high water levels created by recent rainstorms, village officials say.

A no-wake order first issued Friday remained in place Tuesday. According to the village, some residents along the lake have water coming over their sea walls.

Village officials say they will continue to monitor conditions and issue updates when appropriate. For updates, visit facebook.com/villageofwauconda.
