Arkansas woman succumbs to injuries from Elk Grove crash
A 24-year-old woman Arkansas woman on Tuesday succumbed to injuries she suffered last week when she was struck by a vehicle in Elk Grove Village, authorities said.
Stacey Jett, of Perryville, Arkansas, was pronounced dead at 1:38 p.m. at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where she was being treated, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. The medical examiner determined the cause of death to be from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the May 28 accident.
Police said Jett was with a male companion on the 500 block of Busse Road when she was struck in the northbound curb lane by the driver of a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica minivan. No citations were initially issued. Police did not provide a further update on the investigation Wednesday.
