Schaumburg seeks volunteer of the year nominees

The Village of Schaumburg is accepting nominations for volunteers of the year to be recognized at its upcoming luncheon, which will feature former NHL player and Chicago Blackhawks game analyst Eddie Olczyk as the keynote speaker.

Nominations for Schaumburg's Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer Organization of the Year and Youth Volunteer of the Year will be accepted through Monday, April 1. Nominees can represent social, civic, religious, community, school and medical organizations. For-profit and political organizations are excluded.

Award recipients will be selected by a panel of judges from nominations received from residents and the business community. Recipients will be honored at the annual Volunteer of the Year luncheon that will take place Monday, April 15, at Chandler's, 401 N. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.
