Play chess at Cook Memorial Public Library
Both Cook Memorial Public Library District facilities are hosting drop-in chess matches this winter. Play is available at the Aspen Drive Library at 701 Aspen Drive in Vernon Hills from 10:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 27. Play also is available at the Cook Park Library, at 413 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Libertyville, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 22 and Feb. 12. No registration is needed. Participation is free. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Children 9 or younger must be accompanied by adults.
