Power outage cancels Arlington Heights board meeting

Arlington Heights officials canceled their village board meeting Monday night due to a power outage, according to Village Manager Randy Recklaus.

The outage was caused by a blown transformer in the village's downtown. Officials were uncertain of when power would return and there was no immediate information regarding when the meeting would be rescheduled.

The meeting's agenda included adoption of the village's 2018 Emergency Operations Plan and recommendation of a county property tax incentive that would bring the company Amerimation, warehousing operation for electronic components, to 9 E. College Drive, where it would have 10 employees.
