Naperville police are searching for a man who pointed what witnesses say appeared to be a gun at children playing in a park.

Police responded to reports of the suspicious man about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Country Lakes Park on the 700 block of Genesee Drive, according to a Wednesday news release.

Witnesses said the man was white, was bald or had very short hair, was clean-shaven and had many small tattoos on his face and arms, police said. He wore blue-tinted sunglasses, a gray T-shirt, gray sweatpants and white gym shoes, police said.

The man left in a small, white car with a loud muffler, police said.

Anyone who witnessed this case or has information about the man should call the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-6666.
