Oakton foundation art auction set for Oct. 12

The Oakton Community College Educational Foundation will host its annual "Oakton's Finest: Art for Education's Sake" benefit art auction at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at the Acorn Rooms Lobby, 7701 N. Lincoln Avenue, Skokie.

The event includes a silent auction of works of art donated by local artists in addition to live music, food and beverages. Advance tickets are available for $50 through Friday, Sept. 28, online at www.oakton.edu/giving or by calling (847) 635-1893.

All proceeds support the Oakton Educational Foundation Annual Fund.

The foundation supports the mission and vision of the college by raising funds in support of student scholarships, academic programs, teaching excellence and capital improvements that enhance the quality of education at Oakton. The foundation approved the disbursement of more than $1 million in funding to cover scholarships and grants for fiscal year 2019.
