Rooney hosting Senior Health Fair June 29 in Mount Prospect

State Sen. Tom Rooney is hosting his first Senior Health Fair from 9:30 a.m. to noon Friday, June 29, at Lions Recreation Center, 411 S. Maple St., in Mount Prospect.

Free screenings will be available for attendees, including hearing, blood pressure and blood-sugar testing (an eight-hour fast is recommended before this test).

Information will be available on a number of topics, including nutrition, library programs, fire safety, transportation and more. There also will be a free Silver Sneaker Interactive Class at 10 a.m.

Those who attend are also encouraged to bring their unused keys and eye glasses for the Lions Club. The event is free to the public and refreshments will be provided.
