Dozens of recent Prospect High School graduates came back to walk the hallways one last time Thursday at another alma mater - Windsor Elementary in Arlington Heights - before they take their next steps into college.
It's the second year Arlington Heights Elementary District 25 has invited Northwest Suburban High School District 214 graduates back to don their caps and gowns while being applauded by current elementary school students lining the hallways.
It's also a time for the graduates to reunite with former teachers.
Last year Patton Elementary held the first senior walk for John Hersey High School graduates, but this year the event expanded to four other District 25 schools.
Last week, Olive-Mary Stitt Elementary also hosted graduates of Prospect and Hersey highs, and Greenbrier and Ivy Hill had students from Buffalo Grove High School.
