Navy sailor from Plainfield found dead in Washington state

A Navy sailor from Plainfield who went missing in Washington state more than a week ago was found dead, ABC 7 reported.

Jeremiah Adams, 24, an Oswego East High School graduate, had not been seen since May 4 when he went for a day hike in Olympic National Forest, according to the Clallam County sheriff's office.

The body of Adams was found Saturday night at the bottom of a ravine. Family members say he appeared to have fallen, ABC 7 reported.

Adams was stationed aboard the USS Nimitz in Bremerton, Washington. Fellow sailors searching for him found his silver 2013 Ford Fiesta at a trailhead Monday night.
