Fishing derby time on Saturday, May 19 in Palatine
West Suburban Bass Anglers and Palatine Park District will host an annual fishing derby at Plum Grove Reservoir on Saturday, May 19. The derby will run from 8 a.m. to noon at the park off Algonquin Road on the east side of Harper College in Palatine. All ages are welcome and prizes will be awarded for various categories in age groups 0-10, 11-16, and 17 and older. Anyone older than 16 must have a fishing license. Bait and food will be available for purchase. Cost is $5 and payment will be accepted at the fishing derby.
