Sketch shows suspect in April 24 Arlington Heights child luring

Arlington Heights police on Friday released a sketch of a man suspected of luring a fifth grade student walking to Ivy Hill Elementary School on April 24.

The girl was walking on Valley Lane near Burke Drive about 8:30 a.m. when a man in a black four-door sedan rolled down the passenger's side window and said, "I have food for you. Get in the car," according to a police community alert. The victim refused, and the suspect drove off, headed east on Valley.

The suspect was described by police as a black man in his 20s, wearing a black baseball hat and black sweatshirt.

Earlier this week, police released a sketch of a different suspect in an attempted luring outside Olive-Mary Stitt Elementary School on April 13.
