Two new doctors' offices open in Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights officials helped two medical-oriented businesses cut ribbons at new facilities Thursday.

Northwest Community Healthcare opened a group physician office inside Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton St., that will accept scheduled and walk-in appointments from residents of the senior living community, as well as the surrounding community.

Hospital officials say the outpatient care center will help better serve older adults in the area. The office has eight exam rooms and will be staffed by two doctors and a nurse. Luther Village residents can get there by using a free shuttle that runs hourly from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Earlier Thursday, village and chamber of commerce officials attended a ribbon cutting for Westgate Dental Care's new two-story, 9,800-square-foot office at 2900 W. Euclid Ave.

Located on the east end of the Esplanade at Arlington Heights Shopping Center, the dental office has 20 patient rooms and a conference and training center for staff. The location is some seven times the size of Westgate's original office at 23 S. Vail Ave., which opened in 2002.

The new office is three years in the making, after owner Dr. Peter Kics decided the practice needed to expand to serve a growing patient base.
