Delays expected at Roselle, Schaumburg roads

The village of Schaumburg is informing the public that construction to install a southbound right-turn lane at Roselle and Schaumburg roads is under way by the Cook County Transportation and Highway Department.

The project also will include full traffic signal modernization and a few other aesthetic improvements.

The project is anticipated to be substantially complete in August, with sod restoration in September, pending weather.

The intersection will remain open during construction, but the project will result in daily lane closures, most of which will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Motorists should expect delays and plan for additional time if traveling in the area, while maintaining the posted speed limit and avoiding cellphone use in the work zone.
