Earth Day event in Geneva offers activities for everyone

It might've been Earth Day in Geneva Saturday, but it could've just as easily been dubbed family day.

When the city's Natural Resources Committee and the park district got together for the 11th annual Earth Day, it wasn't just planting trees and shredding paper at Peck Farm Park.

The event featured bicycle tuneups, green vendors, a farmers market, "take a book or leave a book" with the library, lots of other children's activities, health screenings, and chair massages. There was food to eat and rain barrels to buy.
