DuPage deputies seeking 2 in home invasion near Wheaton

DuPage County sheriff's deputies are hunting for two men involved in a home invasion around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday near Prairie Avenue and Leonard Street in an unincorporated area near Wheaton.

Authorities said the two men were seen fleeing in a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with tinted windows and black rims. A third person may have been driving the vehicle, police said.

The suspects are described as between 16 and 20 years old, standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall with small or medium builds. One was wearing a dark-colored coat and the other was wearing a light-colored coat.

No other details were immediately available.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (630) 407-2400. Area residents with electronic surveillance systems are asked to review footage from 6:15 to 8 a.m. and report anything that may assist investigators in identifying the suspects.
