Gurnee Park District to host spring break events next week

The Gurnee Park District will host several events for children and teens home for spring break next week. Tuesday, 1 to 3 p.m., it will host a free throw contest for boys and girls in fifth through eighth grades. Registration is $10 to $13. Wednesday, it will host two one-hour archery lessons supervised by certified archery instructors for children age 8 through 13. The lessons are at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Registration is $35 to $44. Registrations for each event is available on the park district's website. Also, all next week, the Hunt Club Community Center at 900 Hunt Club Road in Gurnee will be available for $5 open gym and the pool at FitNation at 1655 Nations Drive in Gurnee will be available for $6 open swim.
