Visit Lake County wins award
Visit Lake County won a Gold Adrian Award for Advertising for its summer 2017 "Let's Go" campaign, officials announced Tuesday.
The county's tourism agency and its advertising agency, David Harrison Dion, were honored Feb. 20 with the award at the 2018 HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala in New York. The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International has sponsored the national competition since 1956 to recognize exceptional and effective travel marketing creative.
The "Let's Go" campaign included targeted broadcast TV, digital media, billboards and Metra rail cards.
"We're excited about the results we've achieved and connecting with visitors and residents," said Maureen Riedy, Visit Lake County's president.
