Barrington 220 foundation to help Carpentersville school

The privately funded Barrington 220 Educational Foundation is supporting an effort to transform the current Sunny Hill Elementary School library media center in Carpentersville from what officials call a "book warehouse" into a 21st century learning space.

The goal is to improve student literacy and technology proficiency, with an additional benefit of serving the local community. The Foglia Family Foundation is pledging its support to the project through a $100,000 challenge grant.
