Buffalo Grove Rotary offering college grants

The Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove is again offering one-time grants of up to $2,000 to assist graduates of Buffalo Grove and Stevenson high schools with college expenses.

Students who qualify must be accepted into a bachelor's degree college program and be pursuing a four-year degree.

"All of our fundraising activities and efforts throughout the year enable our club to provide this valuable assistance to local students who need help to cover the cost of attending college," Rotary Club President Ryan Risinger said.

Interested students must fill out an application, which is available on the Buffalo Grove Rotary Club website, bgrotary.org. Applications require supporting documents, including two letters of reference, transcripts and an essay that details how the applicant demonstrates the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self."

Completed applications can be emailed to patricejohannes@att.net. The application deadline is Friday, June 1.
