Minivan crashes into Buffalo Grove Dunkin' Donuts

A driver crashed into the front of a Dunkin' Donuts Friday morning in Buffalo Grove, causing some glass to break and door frames to bend. There was no structural damage otherwise, officials said.

A minivan driven by a 79-year-old Lake Zurich man partially entered the front vestibule of the doughnut shop at 1169 Old McHenry Road, near Arlington Heights Road, at 8:47 a.m., police said. No injuries were reported.

Police officer Meghan Hansen attributed the crash to driver error, but no citations were issued since it occurred on private property.

The village's Department of Building and Zoning inspected the building and confirmed there was no structural damage.

Crews also came to board up the front entrance. Phone calls to the store went unanswered Friday afternoon.
