Bartlett police name officer, civilian employee of year

The Bartlett Police Department has named Officer Christopher Solesky as its 2019 Officer of the Year and Records Clerk Holly Faurie as Civilian Employee of the Year.

Solesky, currently assigned to the patrol section, was selected for his outstanding performance and work ethic during the year. A member of the department for 22 years, he also was named Officer of the Year in 2009.

During the past year, Solesky was awarded the department's Life Saving Award for helping revive a person suffering from an apparent opioid overdose, and selected as an Employee of the Month after helping to locate and arrest an armed robbery suspect.

Solesky also was recognized by his supervisors and peers for fostering positive relationships between the department and the community, volunteering to be a guest speaker at a Boy Scout event to answer questions about being a police officer, and helping educate the Teen Citizen Police Academy about traffic safety and DUI enforcement.

Faurie, a member of the department for five years, was recognized for providing exceptional service and consistently presenting herself in a highly professional manner when interacting with residents and department personnel.

In 2019, she took on an informal leadership role by serving as a field training officer to help prepare new records clerks. Faurie also provided supervisory support as the dayshift records clerk in charge, and helped complete time-sensitive Records Section and Property Control projects for the department.
