Woman charged with stealing from Victoria's Secret in Bloomingdale

A 25-year-old Chicago woman has been charged with burglary for stealing items valued at more than $2,000 from the Victoria's Secret store in Bloomingdale's Stratford Square Mall.

Latasha Garrett, of the 1600 block of E. 82nd Street, was released Thursday on a $30,000 recognizance bond by DuPage County Judge Liam Brennan.

Authorities said Garrett and several accomplices entered the store around 5:14 p.m. Wednesday and left without paying for $2,313 worth of items. An investigation by Bloomingdale police led them to Garrett, and they pulled over her vehicle about 30 minutes later.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call police at (630) 529-9868.

Garrett is scheduled to be arraigned on April 16.
