Ida Ann Sams, formerly of chester

Ida Ann Sams, 93, formerly of Chester, passed away peacefully February 23, 2018 in Cedar Park, Texas.

She was born December 7, 1924 in rural Evansville, Illinois, the daughter of Jack and Esther (Wolff) Stumpe.

She married Arthur Mann on June 4, 1945 in Chester, Illinois. She married Walter Dale Sams on January 2, 1970 in Chester, Illinois. She had been a bookkeeper for Chester Dairy Company. She retired in 1986. She had lived in Chester for almost her entire life, and had moved to Cedar Park, Texas in 2012.

She is survived by her son and daughters and their spouses, Richard and Janet Mann of Camarillo, California, Mary Lou (Mann) and Dr. Gary Reinhardt of Leander, Texas, and Jean (Mann) and Robert Kozlowski of Saint Louis, Missouri; her grandchildren and spouses, Ian and Camille Mann of Simi Valley, California, Jessica Guzman of Camarillo, California, Crystal and Brandon DuRette of Austin, Texas, Lt. Col. Gretchen Fivecoat, U. S. Air Force, and MAJ Dennis Fivecoat, USA (ret), RAF Lakenheath, UK, Capt. Nicholas Reinhardt, USAFR, and Joy Reinhardt, La Vernia, Texas, Margaret and Kyle Stohlmann of Topeka, Kansas, and Adam Kozlowski, Simon Kozlowski and Andrew Kozlowski of Saint Louis, Missouri; her great-grandchildren, Kaylee Guzman, Kai Guzman and Kira Guzman, Tyler DuRette, Spencer DuRette, and Ethan DuRette, Molly Reinhardt, Emma Reinhardt and Grant Edward Reinhardt, Natalie Mann and Nathan Mann, and Dexter Fivecoat

Her brother, Glenn Stumpe, preceded her in death.

Her funeral will be held at a future time at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Chester, with Very Rev. Eugene Wojcik officiating. Interment will be in Mary Help of Christians Cemetery in Chester.

Memorials may be made to Mary Help of Christians Catholic School in Chester.
