Minor flooding in Lincolnshire

Melting snow combined with recent strong rains has caused some flooding in Lincolnshire.

Lincolnshire Village Manager Brad Burke said there is some limited flooding along Lincolnshire Drive near the Des Plaines River. Flooding also forced the closure of Londonderry Lane.

Burke said the river has crested and is receding. Public works crews on Wednesday were pumping water from the roads to make them passable, he said.

There were some reports of minor damage to houses and property.
