Ballots for the March 20 primary election will be available Tuesday, Feb. 20, for those choosing to vote early at the Lake County clerk's office or by mail. Candidate certification and ballot printing were delayed throughout the state because the court was reviewing a decision by the Illinois State Board of Elections. In-person early voting is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Friday, March 2, at the office, 18 N. County St., Waukegan. Beginning March 5, early voting is available at the county's 15 early voting sites. For early voting, Lake County residents may use any location regardless of where they live. Visit LakeCountyClerk.info or call (847) 377-2400.
