NIU pauses to remember mass shooting 10 years ago

At 3:06 p.m. Wednesday, bells tolled at NIU in honor of those killed and wounded in the Feb. 14, 2008, shooting on campus. A wreath was laid outside Cole Hall, where the shooting occurred. Read the full story.

Traffic

No major delays affecting the morning commute early. Edwards Road in Antioch is closed in both directions between Crawford Road and US Route 45. Officials said a bridge damaged in flooding last year has been deemed unsafe for travel. Work to replace it will not begin until summer. Detour is available via Route 173. Full traffic.
