Fire damages Gurnee trucking terminal
A fire caused extensive damage Wednesday evening at a trucking terminal in Gurnee.
The business was closed at 6:24 p.m. when a passer-by called in the report to the Gurnee Fire Department. Lt. Heath Graham said crews arrived on the scene on the 3800 block of Clearview Court to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the building. The fire was extinguished within an hour.
The building was unoccupied at the time, and no one was injured. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The building, as well as two vehicles inside it at the time of the fire, sustained large-scale structural damage.
